On Wednesday Dec. 17, stations in the Providence-New Bedford market area will help prepare viewers for the transition to digital TV. WJAR, WLNE, WNAC, WPRI & WSBE will simultaneously run five half-hour educational programs during the following times: 11 am-11:30 am, 12:30 pm-1 pm, 4:30 pm-5 pm, 7:30 pm - 8 pm and 9:30 pm-10pm. The educational programs will only be seen on television sets that are not DTV prepared and will include information on how to obtain converter boxes, install them and prepare for the analog signal cut-off, on Feb. 17.
