Consider this notice at Brown University. Sadly, as William Morgan notes, it irresponsibly fails to warn students that breathing will be prohibited during the exam.

The Rhode Island personal-injury bar must immediately take action to seek damages for this extreme negligence. Now that the lead-paint lawsuit has been dismissed, hungry lawyers can focus on the trauma facing Beverly Hills's finest on College Hill.

Dear Students,

Due to the evolving H1N1 influenza outbreak Medical authorities have advised Brown University to allow for at least 3 feet between students in all examination rooms.

To accommodate this situation, the location of HA88 Contemporary Art I final exam will be assigned as follows (the time of the exam does not change):

If your last name starts with A to ES: Go to Salomon 101

If your last name starts with EV to KO: Go to Salomon 001

If your last name starts with KR to RO (included): Go to MacMillan 115

If your last name starts with RO to Z Go to MacMillan 117

If you need to locate MacMillan, please, refer to the map included in this email or, follow this link http://envstudies.brown.edu/placesandthings/macmillan-tour.html

Thank you for your understanding,

The missing instruction
If your last name ends in a vowel, don't bother going for help,

we have a naive American ready to take your place if you should expire...

Former Brown football captain Travis Rowley could write a sequel to his book " Out of Ivy " on this.
