Andrew Wyeth's last painting can be found in the 25th anniversary edition of Island Journal, that gorgeous publication of the Island Institute, based in Rockland, Maine. He died Jan. 16.

Wyeth (and his family) was of course deeply associated with the Maine coast. He had a summer place in Cushing.

Rhode Island Rep. Edith Ajello wants to make health insurers in Rhode Island provide infertility treatment to women up to 45 years old regardless of whether they are married, the AP reports. Insurers currently need only provide that coverage to married women 42 or younger.

Of course, the older the woman, the more the chances of birth defects and other complications...

With the metastasis of mandates, garagantuan insurance-industry executive salaries and ever multiplying paperwork, it's no wonder the health-care system is collapsing.

Atta Girl Edith...keep adding mandates for everything and everyone and pretty soon you can have Rhode Island in the same outhouse as our lovely State of Califooorrrnia...

And why limit the age to 45, that's discrimination, and why only women, how about men with slow swimming sperm?

Still think that an intelligence test for those wanting to run for office is in line
