Even in New England's more remote spots it's possible to bring in fine new jobs. It depends on having a capable, hard-working workforce and honest and competent state and local government.
Consider that AnC Bio VT, a Korean outfit, will open up a facility in Orleans County, in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, to make portable dialysis machines, cell-therapy machines, vaccines and other bio-medical supplies, and conduct research and development.
Some 200 high-paying jobs are expected to be created in pretty close to what most people would call "the middle of nowhere,'' where the nearest metropolis is Montreal.
